A Mix of Clouds and Stars Tonight
Increasing Chances for Rain

Good evening… we are watching a disturbance over the Dakotas. This disturbance will slowly track toward the area over the next couple of days and bring increasing rain chances.
For tonight, look for a mix of clouds and stars. It will remain seasonably cool, with lows in the lower to middle 30s.
As we head into tomorrow, expect a partly sunny day. We could see a stray shower or two during the afternoon. Look for highs in the lower to middle 50s.
Looking ahead… that disturbance to our west will bring a slight chance of showers Thursday. Warmer air will be pulled into the area ahead of that system. As a result, look for highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Rain chances really ramp up as we head into Thursday and will continue through Friday night. With clouds and rain expected, look for highs to cool back into the 50s Friday.
We’ll keep a slight chances of lingering showers Saturday as that disturbance exits the area. It may just be cool enough Saturday morning for some snowflakes to mix in with the showers. Look for highs Saturday to hold in the middle 50s.
The upper level wind pattern changes to a more southwesterly flow for Sunday into next week. This means temperatures will be on the climb. Expect highs well into the 60s for much of the week. Unfortunately, this pattern usually means occasional chances for rain, however, today’s data is quite unclear as to details. As a result, we’ve put in at least a small chance of rain each day next week. We might even see a few t-storms. We should be able to refine those rain chances in the next few days.
Have a great night! –WKBT Cory Malles
