“A Little Princess” comes to La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Dancers of all ages in La Crosse are hard at work to put together a performance that appeals to fans of all ages.
‘Ballet La Crosse’ is celebrating its fifth season with a production of “A Little Princess.”
Professionals are going to be part of the show alongside ‘Ballet La Crosse’ dancers — some as young as eight-years-old, and many of whom are working toward a professional dance career.
“You get to see all different types of dancing. From Pointe work with the older girls to having dancers in regular ballet shoes so you get to see different levels of dancing,” said Rehearsal Director Denise Meyer. “Sometimes we have our entire cast, a cast of 70 on this small stage here. So it takes a lot of work getting everybody where they need to go and dancers remembering all the intricate parts of their own steps.”
Performances of “A Little Princess” only happen this weekend. Ticket information is available through the Weber Center’s website.
