A.J. Frels named to Wisconsin Council on Tourism
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The head of tourism in the La Crosse area is getting a seat on a statewide council.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker named A-J Frels one of three new members of the state’s council on tourism.
Frels will continue as the Executive Director of the La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau … while he takes on the new role.
Frels says his experience will be beneficial during his three year term.
“Having your eye on multiple aspects of regional tourism if you will, county wide also us to then look at that next step and hopefully lend itself well when I get to the council, looking at it statewide,” said A.J. Frels, Executive Director of Explore La Crosse.
Frels is one of 14 citizen members on the council.
