A Few Evening Storms Possible, Mild & Muggy Overnight
Sunday’s High: 94°F, Tonight’s Forecast Low: 72°F
Another day, another high temperature in the 90s for La Crosse. This marks 6 days in a row at 90 degrees or warmer. The longest stretch on record was in July of 1936 with 14 days in a row.
We have seen a few isolated storms this afternoon, and that small chance will continue through sunset. Skies will then be mostly clear tonight with lows in the low 70s. Patchy fog will be possible toward morning.
Hot and humid conditions will continue for Monday, but we will see a better chance at more widespread rain. We’ll be dry during the morning and early afternoon, but after about 3pm through the evening we’ll see a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs tomorrow will be near 90 degrees.
The chance of showers and storms will continue Monday night and into the day on Tuesday. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
High temperatures will climb back into the low 90s for Wednesday with just a small chance of a pop up storm.
Thursday looks to be another day worth watching for storm chances. We’ll see scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
The small chances of storms, along with the heat and humidity, stick around through the end of the week and into the upcoming weekend.
Have a great night and stay cool! –Michelle Poedel
