A Few AM Showers, then Breezy and Warmer
Turning Colder Tomorrow
Today’s Forecast High: 62/Tonight’s Forecast Low: 34
We are watching an area of low pressure that will track from the Minnesota/Iowa border to northeastern Wisconsin today. The good news is most of the precipitation with this low will quickly shift north and east of the region this morning. There could be some snow mixed in with the rain across the north, but that should transition to all rain before ending as warmer air builds into the region. In fact, we should see some sunshine by this afternoon. It will be a breezy and warmer day. Look for highs in the middle 50s to lower 60s. We can expect southeast winds to become southwesterly at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Clouds will linger through tonight as lows drop into the upper 20s to middle 30s.
Unfortunately, our brief warm up will come to a screeching halt tomorrow. Look for a partly sunny sky and highs only in the upper 30s to middle 40s. An isolated rain and snow shower will also be possible.
Looking Ahead… It appears temperatures will remain below average for much of next week. Look for highs in the upper 30s to middle 40 Monday and Tuesday. They will moderate a bit, climbing into the middle 40s to lower 50s Wednesday and Thursday, then return to the 40s for the end of next week. Overnight lows will range from the middle 20s to middle 30s
A series of weak disturbances will cross the area almost daily. The result will be a continued chance of hit and miss showers. Depending on the time of day and temperatures, the rain could mix with snow at times.
Overall, much of next week looks to be chilly and damp at times.
Have a great weekend and stay warm! -WKBT Cory Malles
