A Bit Cooler Tomorrow
Warmer Air is on the Horizon
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 33/Tomorrow’s Forecast High: 42
Good evening… it was a gorgeous Wednesday. We saw sunshine and highs in the middle 40s to middle 50s. However, the mild temperatures won’t last long as a cool front will swing across the area tonight and return temperatures to the 30s and 40s for tomorrow.
As we head into tonight, look for that cool front to slip into the area. The good news is the front doesn’t have a lot of moisture to work with. As a result, we will just see an increase in clouds as the front moves through. Look for lows to range from the upper 20s to near 30 in the north to the lower and middle 30s across the south.
Cooler air will settle in behind the front tomorrow. As a result, expect highs to slip back into the middle and upper 30s in the north to the lower to middle 40s in the south. That cold air will also produce quite a bit of cloud cover, especially during the first half of the day. I am hoping we can see some sunshine peek through for the afternoon.
Yet another disturbance will track across the area tomorrow night. However, it appears most of the precipitation with this disturbance will stay north of the area. As a result, we will see just clouds as lows fall into the 20s.
With high pressure in control Friday, expect sunshine to return. However, it will do little to warm us up as highs will remain in the upper 30s to middle 40s.
Looking Ahead… the high will move off Friday night allowing a warm front to move across the area. This front should come through dry.
By Halloween Saturday, look for a partly sunny, breezy and seasonably mild day. Expect highs in the upper 40s to middle 50s. However, south winds could gust as high as 30 mph. The warm up will be brief as another cool front drops across the region Saturday night. This front should also pass through the region dry. However, it will pack a bit of a punch in the wind and cold air departments. By Sunday, look for a partly sunny and colder day. Afternoon highs will drop back into the middle and upper 30s. In addition, a stiff northwest wind gusting to 40 mph will make it feel even colder. Brr.
As we start next week, a change in the upper air flow will bring milder air into the region. After spending Monday in the upper 30s to upper 40s, look for temperatures to climb well into the 50s for Tuesday. Next Thursday and Friday look downright balmy as highs range from the middle 50s to lower 60s! Overnight lows will climb from the 20s Monday morning to the middle 30s to lower 40s Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
It appears precipitation will be hard to come by over the next 8 days. Expect partly to mostly sunny days and clear to partly cloudy nights. The only chance of measurable precipitation appears to come next Wednesday, and even then, it doesn’t appear to be a high chance.
Have a great night! -WKBT Cory Malles
