$9.8 Million referendum set for G-E-T School District
GALESVILLE, Wis. (WKBT) — A $9.8 million referendum is on the upcoming ballot for voters in one community.
The money would go towards building and equipping a new performing arts center at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School.
The current auditorium and gymnasium combined space was built in 1953.
If approved, the tax impact would be $7 per year for a $100,000 property.
G-E-T’s district administrator says their current facilities are busy.
“We’re using this space more than we ever have. When we look at our scheduling calendar, we have 350 or more uses for just the arts for this space and over 200 uses for athletics,” said G-E-T School District Referendum Administrator Aaron Engel.
The referendum will be on the April 2nd ballot.
