61st Annual Ice Fishing Derby
Anglers spent the day fishing for Bass, bluegill, perch, northern pike, and crappie
ONALASKA, Wis (WKBT) – While many people may not like the cold weather, some things need to be cold to get the real experience.
Saturday marked the 61st Annual Ice fishing derby on Lake Onalaska.
Anglers spent the day fishing for Bass, bluegill, perch, northern pike, and crappie.
A $1,000 cash raffle was also among some of the prizes for the derby.
Even the temperature was in the single digits, nothing beats getting out of the house.
“Ever since COVID-19 hit, people have wanted to get outside, they’ve been sitting inside looking at each other. And this is one opportunity, another thing is that the money we raise goes to conservation projects,” said Marc Schultz a member of the Brice Prairie Conservation Association.
