60,000 pounds of prescription drugs collected in Wisconsin during Drug Take Back Day
923,000 pounds of prescription drug have been collected during the 20 years of the event
WISCONSIN (WKBT) – A little more than 60,000 pounds of prescription drugs were collected during Wisconsin’s Drug Take Back collection last month.
That was the second highest total in the U.S. this year.
Only Texas had a higher total.
Since the annual day started 20 years ago, 923,000 pounds of prescription drugs have been collected in the state.
There are drop boxes located in communities throughout the region.
