$5,140 donated to Hunger Task Force of La Crosse following food drive
Drive hosted by Empire Screen Printing came in place of the organizations annual chili and soup cook-off
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – More than $5,100 will help the Hunger Task Force in La Crosse.
The donation comes from Empire Screen Printing, following a food drive for employees and a match from $1,500 match from Empire.
The drive comes in place of the annual chili and soup cook-off.
While the year is considerably different than past years, employees still found a way to make sure they could give back.
“The turn out and the contributions were just overwhelming. Some people just went above and beyond,” said Empire Screen Printing creative director Jennifer Schloesser.
The original goal for the drive was $3,000.
