4th annual Chalkfest hosted in La Crescent
LA CRESCENT, Min. (WKBT)- Along with Applefest, la crescent also hosted their 4th annual Chalkfest today.
Participants could spend money to reserve an area to chalk it up however they would like.
Chalkfest took place at La Crescent-Hokah secondary school and has a youth and adult competition.
Community members who attend Applefest are invited to come by and cast their vote on the best chalk art.
Event organizers say the event has come a long way in just 4 years, but they hope that more people continue to participate.
“We’re always looking for artists so my goal next year hopefully is to have 50 artists. We always want more talent because that always makes it better. If we could have the whole block and the next block, it would be just awesome,” said organizer and participant, Bernie Windschitl.
Event organizers say they had someone from as far as Arizona fly up and participate in their Chalk Fest.
