44th annual custom auto show visits the La Crosse Center
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Motor enthusiasts from all over the Midwest met in La Crosse this weekend to show off their custom vehicles. God’s Country Racing Association hosted its 44th annual custom auto show at the La Crosse center.
The show included competition and antique cars, custom motorcycles and street rods from places as far away as St. Louis and South Dakota.
The show was held on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., .and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Organizers said this event was fun for a few reasons.
“These cars are just part of American history. We’ve got cars from the ’20s and ’30s that are almost 100 years old. They’re just part of America. And people like to have fun. That’s what it’s about,” said God’s Country Racing Association treasurer Warren Call.
Everyone who came to the event could vote for their favorite vehicle and the winner was given an award for people’s choice and a cash reward.
