26 candidates being considered for La Crosse School Superintendent
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- The La Crosse School district is considering 26 candidates to become the next superintendent.
The district hired McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development to help them in selecting candidates for the school board to interview.
The application period closed January 20th.
26 candidates applied and will now being considered for the position.
The district says the school board will make the final decision, but they are also getting input from the community during the search.
The board will meet February 13 in closed session to discuss all of the candidates and decide who will become the semifinalists for interviews.
The board plans to make a final decision by the end of March.
Current Superintendent Randy Nelson announced his retirement in October. He’ll be finished at the end of the school year.
