18th Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Walk goes virtual

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Another community event is going virtual.
The 18th Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Walk is taking place next week Sunday.
The annual walk is always a key fundraising event due to the support from the community.
Many of their usual activities with the event have gone virtual as well, including the auction, which will be open for one week starting tomorrow.
Like many of the walks that have gone virtual, you can sign up online and complete a personal walk with a group of friends or family.
“This organization provides so many programs and opportunities for our kids. And this is really the largest fundraiser we do of the year. And that sustains the programming throughout the year,” said Andrea Finney, a mother of a child with Down Syndrome.
