1,300 people travel for La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park
More than 1,300 people traveled to Milwaukee for the annual La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park on Thursday.
This is the event’s 18th year.
“Jim Geisnner wanted to find a way to bring community leaders, civic leaders from all over the area together to have a day of fun and to put aside some differences that in those days was a little contentious,” said Dave Clements, executive director of the La Crosse Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “So Jim’s Idea was to take everyone to Miller Park for La Crosse Area Day so we had Onalaska, La Crosse, Holmen and here we are 18 years later going strong.”
The state champion La Crosse Logan Rangers softball team will also be honored at Miller Park as part of La Crosse Area Day.
