’10 Days of Giving’ underway in Winona, supporting food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services

Donation opportunities are available through December 10th

WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – The ‘Ten Days of Giving’ campaign is underway in Winona.

The annual effort hosted by Merchants Bank supports the food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services.

The drive is in its 32nd year.

More than 3.7 million pounds of food have been collected since the drive was first held.

Tuesday,  community members could enjoy a lunch with a portion of the proceeds supporting the campaign.

The support can impact the community.

“Hunger exists in the community. And the people of Winona need to support the food shelf, to serve our neighbors and friends,” said Winona Volunteer Services executive director Sandra Burke.

Different fundraising efforts and donation collections will be held at area businesses over the coming days.

Details about the drive are available on the Merchant’s Bank website.

That is also where community members can make a donation.
