$1 million bond set for La Crosse homicide case
Friday's Southside shooter Deshawn Randall bond set at $1 million
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Bond is set at $1 million for a La Crosse man accused in the shooting death of a Central High School student last Friday.
Police say 18-year-old Deshawn Randall fired once into a car that was carrying 17-year-old George Miller. When Miller tried to run away, Randall pulled the trigger several more times. La Crosse County District Attorney Tim Gruenke says Miller was shot a total of nine times.
Randall was arrested at an apartment complex on La Crosse’s south side late Friday night after a standoff that lasted several hours.
Charges are still pending for the shooting, but Randall was charged Monday with 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety with a dangerous weapon and Disorderly Conduct for a separate incident that happened two days before the shooting.
District Attorney Gruenke says Randall is also a suspect in the string of shootings that happened on the weekend of August 14th.
Randall will be back in court on Thursday.
