khoff@wkbt.comKelli Hoff started at WKBT-TV in the summer of 2006, soon after graduating from UW-River Falls with a Journalism degree. She started in master control, working behind-the-scenes running audio for the morning news. A year later, she moved to the News department, and took over as Weekend Producer.
The ‘Flood of 2007’ came on her first weekend flying solo as a producer, but she ended up surrounded by News 8 reporters, anchors and producers who came in to cover the story (something she will always be thankful for!). After a year on weekends, Kelli moved to the morning show, where she has been producing for more than three years.
Favorite song?
Anything fun to sing along with (hey, it’s a long drive from my house in Westby to get to work!) “American Pie” is a good one.
Favorite band?
I'm a nerd, but Weird Al is definitely on my top ten list.
Favorite movie?
I could watch "First Wives Club" and "Godfather II" over and over again.
Favorite book?
I love Jane Austen, "Sense and Sensibility" is probably my favorite.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
I'm pretty low maintenance (and keep odd hours!) — so probably just hanging out with the fam, maybe going out on the river or golfing, working in the garden, taking a walk with my dog, Simon.
What are you bad at and wish you could do better?
Public speaking! I don't like to be the center of attention.
Favorite food?
My mom makes killer spaghetti
What do you like about your job?
I love what I do, I work with great people, stay up-to-date on what’s going on, get to live in a beautiful area… what’s not to love
