...Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to noon
The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory...which is in effect from midnight tonight to noon CST
- Expect wind chills to range between 15 and 25 below zero... with
the coldest wind chills occurring between 5 am and 9 am Tuesday
- The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30
minutes to exposed skin.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors...make sure you wear a hat...gloves
and appropriate boots or shoes.
