Good Monday to you and Happy Labor Day! It's been
a warm and humid day with some sun, some clouds and
Temperatures didn't get quite as warm as expected
thanks to clouds and rounds of rain, but it was still
warm and humid.
It was a very mild morning with lows in the upper
60s and highs today near the 80 degree mark.
We did pick up about a half inch of rain with the
storms this afternoon.
Winds are out of the south and the Mississippi River
at La Crosse is at 7.2 feet and falling.
Temperatures are in the 70s and 80s this afternoon
you can pick out the spots that haven't seen any rain!
Mid to upper 80s in our southern communities.
Humidity levels are quite high.
Dew points are in the upper 60s to low 70s so there
is a lot of moisture in the air.
Dew points will remain high for the next few days
in the low 70s, which means any rain we see could
be quite heavy and cause some flooding.
Dew points will decrease heading into the end of the
week and next weekend.
There's still a cluster of showers and storms moving
through the area, but once that's through, we should
get a break.
This every slow moving system has been moving through
the plains all weekend and now will settle in our
area for the next few days bringing several rounds
Some storms tomorrow afternoon and evening could become
strong to severe with strong winds.
but our main concern will be heavy rain.
A flood watch is in effect for most of the area from
7pm tonight through late Wednesday night.
Allergy symptoms remain high.
Mild and muggy tonight with a low in the low 70s.
Chance of storms late.
Warm and humid Tuesday, chance of showers and storms,
especially late, Highs in the mid 80s.
Mild and muggy Tuesday night with more storms and
Lows near 70.
The potential for storms and heavy rain will continue
then just a small chance of a lingering storm early
Another chance of rain will come Friday lasting into
Saturday morning, then the weekend looks pleasant.
