LA CROSSE, Wis. -

While most people are busy clearing snow, at least one business is busy using it.

Mt. La Crosse was happy to see the snowfall over the weekend. Crews have been busy getting the ski hills ready for the season.

They are hoping to open by Thursday this week and that means making as much snow as possible.

While yesterday's snow was nice to see, the cold temps have actually helped them more.

"The snow is great and it makes everything in town look nice and white but we really have to get a good base down first so we are just working very hard to get down a couple of feet of snow so that we can ski on it and board on it and that it will withstand any warm temperatures that might come our way," said Mt. La Crosse General Manager Darcie Breidel.

They are hoping to be open on Thursday, but that all depends on the weather. For the latest snow information from Mt. La Crosse, click here.
