Forecasters issue flood warning, watches

MILWAUKEE (AP) -

Officials are keeping an eye on Wisconsin's swollen rivers as heavy rain threatens to cause widespread flooding.

The National Weather Service issued flood warnings or watches from Wisconsin Dells to Kenosha as the rain continued to fall. Forecasters expected nearly 4 inches of rain to fall in Kenosha County where a portion of Highway 75 was closed due to flooding.

Flood warning are in effect for the Rock River near Jefferson and Fort Atkinson, Lake Koshkonong in Jefferson and Rock counties, the Crawfish River in Jefferson County, the Fox River in Green Lake, Waushara, Winnebago, Racine and Kenosha counties, the Sugar River in Rock and Green counties and the Wisconsin River in Portage County.
