Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who made three solo tackles, two assists, and blocked four passes, led the Ravens to a 34-7 victory over the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV on Jan. 28, 2001, to become only the second linebacker to be named Super Bowl MVP after Chuck Howley in Super Bowl V.
