Most of the time being a Hollywood actor is all about the glitz and the glamour, but occasionally actors have to go that extra mile to transform themselves for a role. Take a look at some of the most dramatic actor transformations ever seen on film.
To play the aging, overweight self-destructive boxer Jake La Motta in "Raging Bull," De Niro went on a binge eating trip around Northern Italy and France while the movie's production was shut down for around four months. When he came back home to film his later scenes, De Niro had gone from 145 pounds to 215.
