DeVito's roommate was Michael Douglas. The two would eventually work together several times, with Douglas producing "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," which DeVito appeared in, and both acting in "Romancing the Stone," "The Jewel of the Nile" and "The War of the Roses."
