Wisconsin-Indiana Preview Capsule

Indiana (4-5, 2-3 Big Ten) at No. 17 Wisconsin (7-2, 4-1), 11:01 p.m. CST, ESPN2

Line: Wisconsin by 22.

Series record: Wisconsin leads 39-18-2.

The good news for the Hoosiers is that they're two wins from being eligible for a bowl. The bad news is that at least one of those victories must come on the road, against either Wisconsin this week or Ohio State next week. Good luck. The Badgers look to keep rolling in case of an unlikely Buckeye freefall in the Leaders Division, and build their resume for a possible at-large BCS bowl bid.

Indiana offense vs. Wisconsin front seven. The Badgers are getting ready for another track meet. The front seven led by LB Chris Borland is coming off a top performance last week against BYU, which plays at a similar tempo. Making it tougher for the Hoosiers is that they likely be without leading rusher Tevin Coleman (ankle).

Indiana: Former starting RB Stephen Houston will probably replace Coleman, who ran for a career-high 215 yards last week over Illinois. Houston's longest run of his career came in 2011, a 67-yard score at Wisconsin.

Wisconsin: RB Melvin Gordon has slowed down a little, failing to run for more than 86 yards in each of his last two games. Look for a heavy dose of Gordon after coach Gary Andersen fielded questions over the past week about whether an injury was slowing down the star sophomore.

Indiana has scored at least 28 points in 10 straight games dating back to last season, a program record. ... The 52 touchdowns are already a single-season school record with three games to play. ... Coleman was the Big Ten's offensive player of the week for his big game against the Illini. ... Badgers are 24-4 after November 1 over the last eight seasons, minus bowl games. ... With running backs Gordon (128.9 yards per game) and James White (105.7 yards), Wisconsin is only FBS program with two players over the century mark. ... Badgers have an eight-game win streak in series, with an average margin of victory of 35.4 points.
