LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) - As up and down as the season has been for the UW-L men's basketball team, if the regular season ended today, the Eagles would have a home game in the WIAC Tournament.
UW-L beat UW-Platteville Saturday night. Now, with three games remaining, the Eagles sit in third place in the conference standings. The top four teams get a home game.
"That would be not only great for us, it would be great for the fans," said sophomore forward Calahan Skogman. "We would absolutely love to have a game here and get a win on our home court. We feel like the fans deserve it and we've been putting the work in and it would be big if we could get that."
La Crosse travels to No. 7 UW-Whitewater Wednesday night.
