PdC native Matt Antoine wins bronze at Switzerland


Matt Antoine is bringing another medal back to Prairie du Chien.

Antoine won bronze at the skeleton World Cup race in St. Moritz, Switzerland, recording a two-run time of 2:19.98.

This is Antoine's third medal this season. The PdC native also won bronze at Park City, Utah and gold at Lake Placid.

"I was a little surprised to hold onto third," Antoine told the Team USA website. "Things are going well and it's coming together. I want to keep progressing from here. It's nice to be consistent, and I now expect to be in medal contention week in and week out."

According to the article, Antoine has solidified himself as a favorite for a medal at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
