LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) - The 2014 La Crosse County Amateur Golf Championships will once again distribute record payouts, according to a press release.
The 18-hole Seniors County Am is expected to exceed $2,600 in certificates. 62 competitors signed up for the Seniors County Am, four fewer than 2013. It will take place Saturday, July 26 at Forest Hills.
The 18-hole Women's County Amateur, to be played at Cedar Creek on July 26, has 25 entires, one more than 2013. The total payout in gift certificates and plaques is expected to exceed $1,000.
Payout for the 36-hole Men's County Amateur could reach $5,500 or more if the field reaches a minimum of 103 players. Entries continue to funnel in; the deadline is midnight on July 22.
This year's Men's County Am begins at Cedar Creek on Saturday, Aug. 2 and finishes at Drugan's Castle Mound the next day.
