Badgers' Dekker sees less playing time of late

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) - Sam Dekker was recently named to the Wooden Mid-Season Top 25 list. He leads the Badgers in points and rebounds per game. Yet, in the win against Michigan State, he saw under 30 minutes of action for the third straight game.

"It's just this coaching style," the sophomore forward said. "I gotta get used to it. He expects a lot out of me and I kind of take that as a compliment because he sees me as a player that can help this team. At times, I do some things that I shouldn't and make a turnover or stupid shot or something. He takes me out and lets me collect myself and puts me right back in so that's just his way to try to get me to limit some of the things I do and it's coming around and it'll work."

Dekker and the Badgers return to action Thursday night when they host Minnesota.
