WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) -

Winona State earned a No. 2 seed in the south for the upcoming NSIC Men's Basketball Tournament.

They Warriors will host the No. 7 seed from the north, Minot State.

WSU could have earned a share of the conference title, but was upset at home by Augustana Saturday night, so they enter the postseason on a sour note.

"Put this behind us," said sophomore guard Conrad Masberg. "Go back to practice Monday, Tuesday, come out Wednesday ready to go and hopefully get that win and move forward. Gotta win out from here."

"Like coach kind of said to us, there's bigger and better things out there," said redshirt freshman guard Riley Bambenek. "We're a good team. We feel like we can play with anybody."

The game will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at McCown Gymnasium.

The WSU women open the NSIC postseason Wednesday night at University of Mary.
