LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

One week before the Iowa State men's basketball team opens its season, the Cyclones will get a final tune-up by facing Viterbo.

The V-Hawks and Cyclones will meet for the first time on Friday, Nov. 7th in an exhibition game in Ames, Iowa.

Iowa State went 28-8 last season, winning the Big 12 Tournament to earn the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. There, the Cyclones beat North Carolina Central and North Carolina to advance to the Sweet 16. They lost to eventual champion UConn.

Viterbo went 16-14 last season, falling to Grand View in the MCC Tournament quarterfinals. The V-Hawks lose Cole Lewis, Jasper Duberry, Matt Turba and Izac Sheforgen to graduation, but return two double-digit scorers.
