The memorable season for the Viterbo baseball team continued on Tuesday. With the V-Hawks 9-0 win over AIB, they win the MCC Baseball Tournament and earn an automatic bid in the upcoming NAIA National Tournament.

Evan Taylor threw his second complete game shutout of the MCC Tournament. Taylor's record on the mound improved to 10-1, 10 wins being a new school single season record.

On the offensive side, Shea Coates and Zach Benson added 2 RBI apiece.

Viterbo last week captured their first regular season conference title since 1991.

The pairings for the 45-team baseball NAIA National Championship Tournament will be announced at 7 p.m. on Friday. Opening round play begins on Monday.
