Calahan Skogman led UW-La Crosse en route to its biggest win of the season, an 88-83 upset over No. 7 UW-Whitewater.
"Different players are going to step up different games and we have so many players that are capable of putting up numbers, capable of knocking down shots," Skogman said.
The transfer from Minnesota-Duluth scored 22 points and tallied 11 rebounds and four assists. The Eagles hit 15 3-pointers.
"Sometimes it comes down to whether the ball goes in or not, and we had some good looks," said UW-L Head Coach Ken Koelbl. "Tonight we had some good looks and we capitalized, made some big plays when we had to, withstood their charge and they made a charge right to the end."
The Eagles improve to 11-6, 5-3 in the WIAC. UW-L hosts No. 1 UW-Stevens Point Saturday.
