The Eagles women, competing in the Tori Neubauer Invitational, finished third as a team. UW-L's top finisher was Laura Mead, who finished fifth (21:44.5).

"There's kind of a no-man's land in the back of the course, and when people started dropping back there, I knew I was stronger," Mead said. "We've been excited all week, just because it's our home meet, and so much team pride. Everybody knew today, we just wanted to get out hard."

Luther sophomore Tricia Serres took first place individually (21:19.3). Wartburg took first as a team, while the University of Minnesota placed second. Winona State finished 22nd.
