Rushford-Peterson track standout signs with Michigan

Rushford-Peterson track standout...

Rushford-Peterson senior Noah Carlson signed a National Letter of Intent Thursday to compete in track and field at the University of Michigan.

Carlson is a 4-time state track and field champion, and two-time defending champ in the Class A long jump.

Carlson is the first athlete from Rushford-Peterson to sign with a Big 10 school.

It's just a big weight lifted off my shoulders.   I really feel confident in my decision, " Carlson said.  "I'm just really happy with my decision.   Just a kid in high school doing sports, just competing my best. And then I have these opportunities come up, it's just a great feeling."
