ARCADIA, WI (WKBT) -

Senior Taylor Haines has a feeling for what to expect this Thursday night when Arcadia hosts Eau Claire Regis in a WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal.

"We graduated two seniors last years so we've all been here. We all know what the pressure is but mostly just keep calm and play your game. Don't worry about making a mistake."

The Raiders fell to Regis last season in the same round of the playoffs, losing 3-0 to the Ramblers.

Haines and the rest of the seniors will look to build off past experiences. Arcadia was one of three teams to share the Coulee Conference championship this season and are two wins away from the program's first ever trip to the WIAA state tournament.

So far their playoff run has been a series of 3-0 victories against Osseo-Fairchild, Spring Valley, and Saturday against Elk Mound to capture the regional championship.

"We have to keep our momentum going," says senior Alyssa Pronschinski. "We played really well last Saturday and we have to keep the energy up and keep pushing through."

Pronschinski and Haines are just two of the eight seniors who make up Arcadia's roster of eleven. Head coach Andrea Haines says her team's leadership and experience from the large group of seniors has been a key to their success.

"Those girls have been playing together their entire lives.  And they know each other so well that when one person is having an off night, another one steps up."
