After a disappointing end to last season, the Logan Boys Cross Country team has high hopes this season.

They're ranked 4th in Div. One by the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association, and they're as healthy as they've been in a while.

"Last year I thought was going to be our best chance at State, and seeing us ranked 4th in the state this year is outstanding," said Logan senior Chris Ganrude. "I feel awesome."

Boys cross country sectionals are Saturday, and Logan will be joined by Holmen, Central and Onalaska in Menomonie.

"It feels awesome that we're able to do it together and we're not just doing it for ourselves," Logan junior Henry Meger said. "We're all doing it for each of the other guys and that's really what makes us strong, I think."

"Our kids couldn't be in a better position," said Logan Head Coach Pat Mulrooney. "I think these guys right now, they believe they can compete with anybody in the state, and on a given day, who knows what can happen?"
