La Crescent native Eriah Hayes scores first career NHL goal

When '07 La Crescent graduate Eriah Hayes was skating for the Lancers, Coulee Region Chill, Topeka Roadrunners, Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks and Worcester (Mass.) Sharks, he was likely dreaming of this moment.

36 seconds into the third period Thursday night, Hayes scored his first NHL goal.

Hayes, who was called up to San Jose on Jan. 3, was playing in his 13th game with the Sharks.
