RUSHFORD, Minn. (WKBT) - The Rushford-Peterson boys basketball team has been to state each of the last two seasons, but they finished third both years.
Now, with the top seven players back from last year's run, there's a sense of unfinished business.
"We were kind of disappointed when we got third place, and this year I think there's a big sense of urgency," said junior Charlie Krambeer.
"You know, you're so close to getting to that next step and you just want to finally get there," senior Austin O'Heran said. "Working for that all four years of high school and always trying to get a little bit closer and then if we could finally do it, that'd be great."
No. 3 seed Rush-Pete faces Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Williams Arena.
