On Thursday Holmen senior Jeren Kendall signed his National Letter of Intent with Vanderbilt University. The Commodores went 54-12 last season, advancing to the NCAA Super Regional.
"It feels pretty great, but I think it's going to feel even better once I step on campus and really get into the things of what they do down there," said Kendall.
2013 was a breakout season for Kendall. He was a First Team Mississippi Valley Conference selection and was named to the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-State Third Team.
Kendall's high school teammate Ryan Wesely also signed his National Letter of Intent. The two have helped Holmen win back-to-back MVC championships in 2012 and 2013.
Wesely will attend St. Cloud State University.
"They are losing a lot of pitchers this year, so when I come in the door will be wide open," said Wesely who went 6-1 with a 1.78 ERA his junior season.
"So if I work hard, you never know what could happen."
