HOLMEN 27, OSHKOSH NORTH 33 (2OT)

Holmen's hopes of becoming the first 12-0 MVC team and advancing to the state semifinals for the first time in school history were dashed in heartbreaking fashion.

Oshkosh North scored 14 unanswered points in regulation, then won the game in double overtime, 33-27.

"They made one more play than we did tonight, and when you have two even football teams, that's the way the ball bounces sometimes," Holmen Head Coach Steve King said.

The Vikings finish their historic season with an 11-1 record.

"My biggest memories will come from my last three years," senior running back/defensive back Dylan Martinez said. "I know people say college is fantastic and college football is great, but I've also heard way more people say that nothing beats the Friday night lights. Ever. I'm going to miss those."

BROOKWOOD 14, DARLINGTON 47

Brookwood's historic postseason run came to an end, as the Falcons fell 47-14 at one-seed Darlington.

Brookwood's Josh Martin returned a kickoff for a touchdown to make the game 7-6 Darlington, however that's as close as the Falcons got.
