It was a big moment in today's game.
Shianne Fair goes down injuring her back with five
minutes to play and the Red Raiders down by five.
With her gone the team responded, not only to tie
the game but to win it in overtime.
Do it for Shianne.
Nahmie George Shi has had a bad back she's battled
through all year long.
It's been sore from November.
So she's been playing always with a bad back.
It spasmed up on her.
She couldn't even sit up.
By the time the game ended and Central punched their
ticket to state, Shianne was back with the team to
share in the big moment.
Shianne Fair It means the world to me.
I'm so proud of my team.
They're like my family, I'm so proud.
Katlyn Roesch It's so unreal.
I've been waiting for this and I knew it was going
to come and I'm happy it did.
It's just so crazy and I love it, I love the feeling.
Nahmie George It has to sink in yet.
I'm just excited for the girls.
They've worked so hard since November.
They deserve this, they earned this and we're just
going to have a lot of fun down there.
Fair said she will be okay to go when the team plays
in the Division two state semifinal game on Friday

Usually in this tournament, we've been on the other
end of it.
We haven't started off very well.
So it was nice to see us start well but that's a really

Soto The way we came out confident, having fun, it
was just great because we were just playing our game
and having confidence.
Ladsten We were rolling well.
We got momentum, our shots were falling, but in the
second half we just got tired.
They have depth on their team and got good players
and they just out-hustled us in the second half.
Obviously, we'd like to have gone out there and won
but think of all the kids that would love to be in
our seats right now.
We're taking it for what it is.
Kujak To come down and be the first team in Blair-Taylor
history to get a win, that's awesome.
To be able to say in the whole state of Wisconsin,
you're in second place right now, that's really hard
Storlie It's hard to put into words what this means
to our community.
We've got great fans, they just love coming to games.
Now, with our hard work and our kids right out of
the Coulee Region, we can accomplish great goals.
Our kids, you know it's always tough, but give them
a little time.
That's what I like about
17, 18 year olds, very resilient...they
never think they're going to lose the next one.
There's going to be a lot of memories of this, especially
going to state three years in a row, yeah know? It's
great memories and especially since we took third
the last two years and getting second helps this out.
It's tough now but I know in the future I'll be able
to enjoy it more.
Second place isn't the worst.
It's second place in the Minnesota state, so it's
Caledonia finishes 3-rd in class-2-A .
beating Fairmont 79-65 in the third place game.
Winona State falls to Northwest Missouri State in
the opening round of the division two N-C-A-A Tournament
Warriors end the year 26-and-8 .
5-th most wins in program history.
Badgers men's hockey wins at Michigan State at 4-3.
They finish 2-nd in the Big Ten and earn a 1-st round
bye in the conference tournament.
And the Badgers women are headed to the Frozen Four.
They beat Harvard 2-1 in the N-C-A-A quarterfinals.
U-W-L wrestlers Jake Minske and Eric Twohey earn their
1-st career NCAA division three All-America honors.
Minske finishes 6-th at 285 and Twohey 8-th at 184
in the division three national championships.
U-W-L men win their 2-nd straight indoor track and
field national championship.
It's their 10-th in the last 14 seasons .
The women finish 2-nd for the 5-th time as a program.
Bucks today fall by 21 in New York.
Wild fall to Columbus in a shootout.
And the Chill fall 4-1 to the Wilderness.
