Brookwood is on the heels of a historic season; the Falcons earned a share of their first conference title in 25 years.
The Falcons were so good last season, they blew teams out. Younger players got time on the field. They hope that experience helps them repeat.
"You get that experience for the next year," said Head Coach Doug Brieske. "You know you're going to lose those seniors so you're trying to get those guys in for experience for the following year, so that's what we got to do last year."
"The guys who got to come in from those big leads, the second team, they're back this year so that's always good to know that they have the experience that they had last year," said Hansen.
If they're going to repeat, they're going to need a big year out of their one-two punch in the backfield: senior Ethan Suhr and junior Jack Hansen.
"A lot of the times, two people can work really well together in the backfield because one blocks for the other one," Hansen said. "I think if we all get enough reps together, we should all do fine together."
