UW-La Crosse earned one big win this week. They came close to making it two.
Behind Trevor Hass' school-record 45 points, No. 1 UW-Stevens Point (18-0, 9-0 WIAC) beat UW-La Crosse 91-72 (11-7, 5-4).
"We were competitive for a good chunk of that game so the final score I don't think is indicative of what the whole game was really like," said Eagles Head Coach Ken Koelbl. "Yeah, it's disappointing, but it's one game and we'll move on to the next."
Calahan Skogman scored 18 points for UW-L and Connor De Bruin added another 16, but the Eagles couldn't slow down Trevor Hass, who went 9-13 from beyond the arc.
"It's a tribute to my teammates," Hass said. "They help me get open and we work everyday and they have confidence in me and tonight was my night."
UW-L hosts UW-Oshkosh Wednesday night.
