Juan Francisco gave the Milwaukee Brewers two reminders about how much power he can add to the lineup.
Two solo shots in the spring opener this week left quite an impression at the plate.
Francisco is a holdover candidate for the first base job from last season. The Brewers brought in well-known veterans Lyle Overbay and Mark Reynolds on minor-league deals to also compete for the position.
What might be working against Francisco is that he's still adjusting to first base after playing third most of his career. He also struck out 95 times in 240 at-bats last season for Milwaukee and hit .221.
