2010 Cashton graduate Jacob Gronemus, 22, passed away late Saturday night.
Gronemus suffered third degree burns to 75 percent of his body last week in a welding accident. He was a three year starter in football.
The Eagles football team honored him Friday night by wearing No. 32 decals on their helmets, his former number. Cashton beat Bangor 20-16, however the final scoreboard read 32-32. After the game, both teams came together for a prayer.
A fund has been set up in his honor at the Bank of Cashton.
Gronemus was supposed to get married Saturday.
