LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

The Loggers have faced Wisconsin Rapids eight times this season. They hadn't lost to them until Friday night.

La Crosse fell one game back of Lakeshore in the South Division with four games remaining in the first half of the season. This weekend, they face the tough task of having to travel to Battle Creek for two games. Then, they round out the first half on Monday with a home-and-home, same day series against Madison.

Competing for a first half pennant is nothing new for outfielder Matt Nadratowski. He was on the team last year.

"It's similar to last year. It came down to the final game last year and it kind of feels like it will this season too," he said. "We're in a good place right now. We just have to keep playing."

Mike said he actually doesn't mind going to Battle Creek, since he gets to return close to home. He's from Canton, Michigan.
