Chill wrap up tryout camp

ONALASKA, Wis. - Given the hot weather as of late, there was probably no better place to be than the Omni Center this weekend.

Around 100 veterans, free agents and draft picks were invited to tryout for the Coulee Region Chill at the team's four-day camp. By Sunday morning's "All-Star" game, the number was down to 40. That number needs to be whittled down to around 26, according to head coach AJ Degenhardt.

"It's exciting. It's a lot of months of hard work that we put in to get the best kids we can here and it's exciting to have a good picture of where the team's going to be to start the season," Degenhardt said.

The team is expected to announce some roster cuts Sunday night, however the final roster won't be announced until much closer to the start of the season in September.
