Monday was back to work for the Central Red Raiders, who are heading to State after their overtime win in the Sectional Finals.
Hoisting that plaque on Saturday took a lot of work, including knocking out two state-ranked teams over a stretch of eight days. Now the focus turns to beating 5th-ranked DeForest Friday afternoon in the Division Two State Semifinals.
But just because another tough task lies ahead doesn't mean the team won't take a little time to enjoy the experience.
"We're still going down there to win. We're not just happy to be there. But at the same time you have to take a moment, take a breath, and take it all in, too," said Head Coach Nahmie George.
"We're going to work hard, but we are also going to try to enjoy it because this doesn't happen too often," said senior Brittany Baldwin.
